Welcome to Discount Domains customers.
DomainCity is pleased to announce that as of 27th April 2001 we
have acquired from Max Internet Limited the trading names and
customer base of DiscountDomains.
DomainCity would like to assure customers that there is no need
to transfer their domain names to any other service providers.
We will do our utmost to ensure that the hand over of administrative
control of your accounts with DiscountDomains will be as smooth
and problem free as possible.
Should any DiscountDomains customer have any queries or concerns

Details of how the transfer affects each customer and their domains
are detailed below.
.UK Domains
No action is required by .uk customers. Administrative control
of the MaxInternet Nominet tag has been passed over to DomainCity.
We will work over the next month to ensure that all domains are
added to your accounts with us for administrative control of DNS
servers etc.
NO ACTION IS REQUIRED FOR .UK DOMAINS
.COM Domains
Administrative control of the MaxInternet account with BulkRegister
as been passed over to DomainCity. We will work over the next
month to ensure that all domains are added to your accounts with
us for administrative control of DNS servers etc.
If your domain name is due for renewal after June 2001 no action
is required on your part. Full administrative rights will continue
to be provided via our support site.
In some cases if your domain name was registered between March
2001 and June 2001 it may require renewing. You can view the domain
names which require renewal by using the facility here
Renewing your domain name via this facility will initiate a transfer
to our account with OpenSRS. ( The e-mail address used for the
administrative contact must be valid )
Renewals for the above domain names are charged at £8.95.
Web and E-mail forwarding services.
We will be transferring the web and e-mail forwarding services
to our servers towards the end of April. There will be no interruption
or charge for the the service and we will continue to provide
this service to customers who hold their domain names with us.
Details of any action required will be sent nearer the time.
Hosting
The Max Internet servers will continue to operate for some
weeks to come. Hosting services will continue to be provided by
Max for a period of time.
DomainCity can provide hosting for customers wishing to transfer
their hosting accounts to us. Our Lite hosting package starts
at £19.95.
CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOTE THAT UNLESS YOUR DOMAIN NAMES EXPIRE IN
THE NEXT 8 WEEKS THAT NO ACTION IS REQUIRED ON YOUR PART. FURTHER
INFORMATION ON THE TRANSITION FROM DISCOUNTDOMAINS TO DOMAINCITY
WILL FOLLOW.
Should you wish to transfer your domain name to another hosting provider please
contact support@domaincity.co.uk. Transfers of domains from DiscountDomains
will incur a nominal administrative charge of £5 per domain.
